THE BEST OPTION IN TUBULAR SOLUTIONS FOR OIL AND GAS DRILLING, PRODUCTION AND DRIVING.
INSTALLED CAPACITY
Ready for Brazil, ready for the world.
Currently, the Apolo Tubulars industrial plant has installed capacity to produce 120 thousand tons of steel tubes per year, focused on the manufacturing of tubes for production and exploration (OCTG) and pipeline (LINE PIPE).
With new developments underway in the 2016-2017 biennium, ApoloTubulars will now supply OCTG pipes with internal and external anticorrosive coatings and premium and semipremium connections for both onshore and offshore wells.
CUTTING-EDGE TECHNOLOGY AND SAFETY
Increasingly better products for a demanding market.
Investments in state-of-the-art technology and factory infrastructure, associated with the geographically strategic location of the facilities, are today the company's competitive edge, which now offers the market a line of finished tubes (OCTG) for oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) in the diameter ranges from 2 3/8 "to 9 5/8" in the steel grade up to P110.
The project to expand the facilities included the purchase of domestic and foreign equipment, of high technological level, for the upset operations by inductive heating and thickening of wall thickness by mechanical pressure, equipment for the heat treatment of pipes by induction process with control over the computer process and for the performance of pipes with specific software.
With the expansion, it is still possible to perform non-destructive tests in all phases of the process using the ultrasound technique and hydrostatic tests with 20 thousand psi of pressure. For the threading stage, four numerical control centers with specific programs for Round, Buttress and Premium threads and glove torque equipment with process mapping were reserved.
QUALITY AND PRODUCTIVITY
Optimized processes and continuous improvement.
With a continuous manufacturing process, Apollo's finished tubes have excellent flow capacity, due to the controlled and constant roughness of the pipe and dimensional stability throughout its thickness.
The Apollo product is capable of improving productivity during field application. For example, the alignment of API 5L Apollo driving tubes is much easier and faster due to the minimal variation in length and thickness and the minimum ovalization and precision machining in the bevelling of the tubes. The same advantages are repeated for Apollo API 5CT tubes, especially in threading operations.
The pipe manufacturing process is driven by a management model based on Safety, Standardization, Training, Continuous Improvement and Innovation. This management model guarantees the continuity of he process knowledge and the total reliability of the product, and ensures the satisfaction of the clients, by means of the full attendance to their requirements.
Apollo's Quality Management System includes ISO 9001: 2000, ISO 14001 and SPECQ1 API certifications. In terms of products, the company maintains certificates of supply and manufacturing processes according to API 5L and API 5CT, DNV, NACE and it has the CRCC (Petrobras Registry). Other certifications related to carrying out of internal tests are also maintained in order for the system to operate consistently and aimed at continuous improvement.
